Meet Mason Miller: A True Talent on the Mound

From College to the Minors

Mason Miller, a 6-5 220lb right-hander, has made a name for himself as one of the most promising pitching prospects in minor league baseball. His impressive college career began at Creighton University, where he was an All-Big East Conference selection. Miller then transferred to Waynesburg College in Pennsylvania, a Division III school, where he majored in finance. Despite the smaller level of competition, Miller continued to excel, earning another All-Conference honor.

A Journeyman's Path

After graduating from Waynesburg, Miller joined Gardner-Webb University for his final college season. He put up solid numbers, striking out over 100 batters in 90 innings pitched. His performance caught the attention of the Oakland Athletics, who drafted him in the 20th round of the 2019 MLB Draft.

Rising Through the Ranks

Since joining the Athletics' minor league system, Miller has quickly ascended through the ranks. He made his professional debut in 2019, split between the Rookie League and Short-Season A levels. In 2021, he was promoted to High-A and Double-A, where he continued to impress with his fastball that regularly reaches the mid-90s and a developing slider. Miller's success has earned him recognition as one of the most exciting young arms in the Athletics' organization.

A Bright Future Ahead

At just 23 years old, Mason Miller has a wealth of potential ahead of him. His combination of size, velocity, and command makes him a formidable force on the mound. As he continues to gain experience and refine his skills, Miller has the potential to become a dominant starter at the Major League level. The Oakland Athletics and baseball fans alike will be eagerly watching his progress in the years to come.
